Dark brown Goodyear welted chelsea boot for women in full grain calf leather, with a thin city rubber sole. Elegant last with an almond shaped toe.

With our new collection of women's shoes we have been able to develop exactly the type of shoes we have had a lot of questions about. Made on Mallorca with the same quality construction and fine material as on our men's shoes. Here you'll get a lot of shoes for the money.

Construction:
Goodyear welted
Leather board heel stiffeners which adapt to your feet (cheaper brands usually use plastic heel stiffeners which makes the shoes hard to break in).

Leather:
Smooth full grain calf leather from the famous French tannery Annonay.

Sole:
Thin city rubber sole developed by us were we have been part of choosing the rubber used and the profile and pattern. The sole has a slim profile just like a leather sole and very good durability due to the rubber material.

Sizing:
Sizes are relaitvely standard, most wear the same size as they do in most of their shoes. If you are uncertain on your size, please e-mail ktj@skolyx.se for further guidance.

Shoe care:
Saphir Medaille d'Or Creme Pommadier shoe cream and Saphir Pate De Luxe wax polish in Havana or dark brown for regular care. Use Saphir Creme Renovateur 1-2 times / year for cleaning and extra nourishment. See below for further care instructions.

General size info

Our women's shoes are considered normal in size, most people have the same size as they have in other shoes. They are a bit narrow though. If you are choosing between two sizes, it's usually best to go for the larger size.

Selecting size based on feet measurements

Although the shape of your feet is very important, in many cases you can calculate your shoe size by measuring the length of your feet and look at the chart below. If you have very wide feet, an extra high instep or similar, you should also consider this and look at the other ways to calculate your size as well. Of course, personal taste is also something that is important. Some people prefer snug shoes while others prefer more roomy.

Measure your feet with your heel against a wall and with a tape measure or a ruler lying on the floor (so not by drawing the foot and then take measurements). Here's a picture that explains it further. The measurements in the chart below are approximate, and are only intended as guidance and not fact.

Women's foot size chart

Selecting size based on shoe measurements

If you want to compare the measurements of our women's with other shoes you have, you can look at the chart below. Note that the measurements are approximate. The width refers to the widest part of the shoe. When comparing with other shoes, it may also differ due to the shape of the toe (our women's shoes are pointy so requires more in front of the toe), the design of the sole and so on. Only use this as guidance.

Size on shoe trees for our women's shoes

For our welted women's boots, our standard cedar shoe trees are best suited, although you should choose two sizes smaller than your shoes. So buy size 35 shoe trees for your size 37 shoes.

Shoe care advice
You come a long way by just follow these four steps (more on these in this guide):
- Don't use the same pair for two consecutive days
- Brush/wipe off the shoes after use
- Use shoe trees in cedar wood
- Treat with shoe cream

Regarding the last bullet point we recommend Saphir Medaille d'Or Crème Pommadier, depending on how often they are used it may well be enough to polish them once a month or so. Remember that any care is better than no care at all. Creme Pommadier is a very ample shoe cream, so use small amounts and apply evenly over the shoe, either with a polishing cloth or an applicator brush. Also use this brush for the area between the upper and the sole edge, and don't forget the sole- and heel edge itself which also is of leather and needs care and new colour.

Let the shoe rest 5-10 minutes and brush of residues and bring out the shine with a shoe brush with horsehair. Repeat 1-2 times if the leather is dry or have lots of marks. If you wish to achieve a higher shine you may combine it with Saphir Pate de Luxe wax for the final shining finish and further protection.
